1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Norvis ("the Service") at chatnorvis.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including businesses and their website visitors.

2. Description of service

Norvis provides an AI-powered chat widget platform that allows businesses to embed a chat assistant on their websites. The AI is powered by Anthropic's Claude model. Business owners can view chat transcripts, respond live, and customize their widget through a dashboard.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account

4. Payments and subscriptions

• Subscriptions are billed monthly ($29/month) or annually ($300/year)
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You can cancel or manage your subscription at any time from your dashboard
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Collect personal data from visitors without their consent
• Send spam, misleading content, or engage in deceptive practices
• Impersonate any person or business
• Harass, abuse, or harm any person
• Distribute malware or harmful content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful or prohibited purpose

6. Content and data

You retain ownership of the business information and content you provide. By using the Service, you grant Norvis a limited license to use your content solely to provide the Service (e.g., training the AI responses for your widget).

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you provide and any data collected through your widget complies with applicable privacy laws and your own privacy policy.

7. AI-generated responses

The chat widget uses AI to generate responses based on your business information. You acknowledge that:

• AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete
• You are responsible for reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of AI responses to your customers
• Norvis is not liable for any decisions made based on AI-generated content

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms of Service. You may cancel your account at any time from your dashboard. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Norvis and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
